Rose Jones graduated from Tomball College with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. After working in general practice, Rose began her Gulf Coast Veterinary Surgery career in March of 1995. Rose worked as an OR technician focusing on veterinary anesthesia and arthroscopy. Rose enjoyed working with one of the founders of veterinary arthroscopy, Dr. Wayne Whitney, helping develop canine procedures, instrumentation and teaching arthroscopy lectures and labs across the nation. Rose moved to inventory management and purchasing for Gulf Coast and used her technical skills to improve inventory purchasing and the availability of supplies. Rose is currently the Support Service Manager. She now oversees the inventory/ purchasing team, custodial services, and facilities. Rose is a member of TVMA and has served on the paraprofessional committee working to help advance the role of LVTs, CVTs, and assistants in the veterinary profession. Rose enjoys being active in equestrian events outside of work and enjoys raising, training, and showing donkeys and mules nationwide.
