Rose Jones graduated from Tomball College with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She began her career in general practice before joining Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in March 1995. Rose initially worked as an OR technician, specializing in veterinary anesthesia and arthroscopy. During this time, she had the opportunity to work closely with Dr. Wayne Whitney, one of the pioneers of veterinary arthroscopy, contributing to the development of canine procedures and instrumentation, as well as teaching arthroscopy lectures and labs across the nation.
In addition to her clinical work, Rose transitioned into inventory management and purchasing at Gulf Coast, where she applied her technical expertise to streamline inventory processes and enhance the availability of essential supplies. Today, Rose serves as the Support Service Manager, overseeing the inventory and purchasing team, custodial services, and facilities operations.
Rose is an active member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) and has served on the Paraprofessional Committee, advocating for the advancement of Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs), Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs), and veterinary assistants. Outside of work, Rose is passionate about equestrian events, raising, training, and showing donkeys and mules nationwide.
