Dr. Whittington received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ferris State University, where her passion for emergency medicine was sparked while working at an emergency hospital in West Michigan. Her love of emergency medicine continued throughout her veterinary education at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed several emergency-focused rotations. In 2021, she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University.
Following graduation, Dr. Whittington joined the emergency department of a specialty hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2024, she relocated to Texas with her husband and their three dogs to become part of the GCVS emergency team. Dr. Whittington provides compassionate, low-stress care for her patients and holds a Fear-Free Elite Certification, reflecting her commitment to minimizing stress and anxiety for animals in her care.
