Dr. Jessica Gomez brings a wealth of expertise, dedication, and a deep passion for animal care to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. Her mission is to provide exceptional support to patients and their families during critical moments.
Dr. Gomez earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Missouri and achieved her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2021. It was during her time in veterinary school, amidst the unique challenges of the pandemic, that she discovered her true calling in emergency medicine. Working as an assistant in the Emergency and Critical Care Department, she developed a profound appreciation for the fast-paced environment and the lifesaving impact of her work. Dr. Gomez further honed her skills through mentorships at Mission Veterinary Emergency and Specialty and Overland Park Veterinary Emergency and Specialty, solidifying her expertise in emergency and critical care.
Now based in Houston, Dr. Gomez shares her life with her partner, Caleb, and their delightful crew of pets: Ben, a spirited standard poodle; Steve, a gentle great dane; and two charming tripod cats, Gadget and Tuna. In her downtime, Dr. Gomez enjoys reading, solving puzzles, horseback riding, staying active, and embracing new adventures through travel.
