Dr. Elser, originally from Ohio, earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Findlay before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. After earning her DVM, she served as a Captain in the Army Veterinary Corps, dedicating five years to active duty. During her service, she was stationed in Virginia and Hawaii, where she had the unique opportunity to travel throughout the Pacific and even to Antarctica.
Following her military service, Dr. Elser completed a Diagnostic Imaging Internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS), which further sparked her passion for radiology. She then pursued a residency in veterinary radiology at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. Afterward, she served as a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania before returning to GCVS to continue her work as a veterinary radiologist.
