Dr. Dustin Lewis serves as the supporting radiation oncologist for Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS). Based at one of our sister hospitals in Red Bank, New Jersey, Dr. Lewis provides remote consultations, develops personalized radiation therapy treatment plans, and ensures precise patient alignment during the first day of treatment.
A native of Northeast Indiana, Dr. Lewis earned both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Purdue University. After graduating from veterinary school in 2010, he completed a small animal rotating internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. In 2011, Dr. Lewis began a residency in Radiation Oncology at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Midway through his training, he transitioned to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he completed his residency in 2013.
Dr. Lewis has been a radiation oncologist at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, since completing his residency. His expertise and dedication to advancing cancer care for pets have made him an invaluable part of the GCVS team.
Outside of work, Dr. Lewis is an outdoor enthusiast who thrives on spontaneous adventures. He enjoys basketball, football, golf, and traveling both nationally and internationally. An avid mountaineer, Dr. Lewis finds joy in scaling peaks and exploring nature’s beauty.
