Dr. Amy Davenport earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Texas in 2005, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Texas A&M University in 2009. After graduation, she completed a one-year rotating internship and a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at North Carolina State University, where she conducted research in infectious disease. Dr. Davenport became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2013 and joined Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists that same year.
While Dr. Davenport enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, she has a particular passion for infectious disease, as well as endocrine, gastrointestinal, and immune-mediated diseases. Outside of work, Dr. Davenport is an avid fan of Astros baseball and enjoys traveling, gardening, birding, and exploring new adventures with her husband, two young children, and their beagle.
Dr. Davenport always cares for our dog with care, skill, and compassion. We have absolute confidence that Buddy is receiving the best possible medical attention.
