Emergency & Critical Care

Dr. Wendy Sobotik’s passion for veterinary medicine began early, sparked by her involvement in FFA and her high school job at a veterinary clinic. These formative experiences cemented her decision to pursue a career in animal care, leading her to Texas A&M University, where she earned both her undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees.

Dr. Sobotik launched her career in mixed animal practice, where she treated a variety of species and embraced the challenges of on-call work. It was during this time that she discovered her true calling in emergency medicine, drawn to its fast pace and opportunities to make a meaningful impact during critical moments.

As the oldest of seven siblings, Dr. Sobotik thrives in energetic environments—a skill she brings to both her professional and personal life. At home, she and her husband share their lives with a lively menagerie that includes four dogs (Maggie, Winston, Rocket, and Douglas), two cats, and a rabbit.

In her free time, Dr. Sobotik enjoys immersing herself in a good book, exploring nature through hiking, and cherishing moments with her family and pets.
